8 Nov 2019 Orange

CEO Shane Stone visited the Regional Investment Corporation (RIC) headquarters in Orange, NSW.  The RIC is administering the AgRebuild disaster recovery loans for primary producers impacted by the North Queensland flood.

31 Oct 2019 to 1 Nov 2019 Townsville

An NQLIRA Board meeting was one of several activities held by the Agency in Townsville.
CEO Shane Stone and Agency staff also hosted a roundtable with charities working with flood-affected communities and visited the new Reid River Export Yard located between Charters Towers and Townsville.

30 Oct 2019 Townsville

Agency staff, including CEO Shane Stone, attended the 2019 LIVEXchange live export conference.  Board member Tracey Hayes provided an update on how NQLIRA is supporting North Queensland communities recovering from flood.  The event was MC’d by fellow Board member Don Heatley.

18 Oct 2019 Brisbane

Agency staff met with representatives from the Western and Northern Queensland Primary Health Networks, Queensland Department of Health and the Royal Flying Doctor Service to discuss the coordinated delivery of mental health support to flood impacted areas.   

8 Oct 2019 Hughenden

CEO Shane Stone attended the unveiling of a plaque commemorating the Commonwealth Government’s commitment of $180 million towards the Hughenden Irrigation Project (HIPCO).

25 Sep 2019 to 28 Sep 2019 Winton

NQLIRA staff attended the Winton Outback Festival, hosting a trade stand each day during the event. They also met with representatives of the Western Queensland Primary Health Network and Queensland Department of Health to identify future community engagement opportunities.
